Short and transparent coffee chain

If you’re a coffee purchaser, then you’ve probably been confronted with a non-transparent chain many parties are part of. We think this entire coffee chain could be different: more honest, more sustainable, and shorter. FarmersDirectCoffee supports the farmers with relevant data regarding weather conditions, soil, and more, for an efficient growth of the coffee beans. In doing so, we ensure a higher return and pay the coffee farmer a fair price for the coffee beans. We buy our coffee beans directly from the coffee farmers without the intervention of traders. This allows the farmer to get a larger slice of the cake. But we take it a step further: at FarmersDirectCoffee, coffee farmers participate in our business. That way they share along in the results. After all, without the coffee farmer, there would be no artisanal cup of coffee.

Purchasing from cooperatives across the coffee belt

Purchasing from cooperatives across the coffee belt

Coffee beans originate from all over the world, from Africa and Asia to South and Central America. To ensure a constant quality and supply, FarmersDirectCoffee seeks collaborations with cooperatives in various countries. Depending on the country, these may be larger or smaller cooperatives. The farmers who are members of these cooperatives often have smaller coffee plantations. To strengthen their position, they set up their own cooperative. In the end this is of course a lot cheaper and more efficient. And these cooperatives work directly with FarmersDirectCoffee.

Better harvest by sharing data

Better harvest by sharing data

FarmersDirectCoffee goes far beyond just that. We help farmers in doing their business more clever and more sustainable in many other ways as well. And all this digital, transparent and with the help of data and blockchain. Through our special app, farmers receive information about the weather, harvest times, sustainable pest control and efficient watering. In cooperation with NGOs (organisations that are independent of the government) they get continuous training to work with the app. That way, our farmers get a better harvest per square meter and their yield is higher. And because of this we are able to offer the best coffee, transparent and sustainable, at a competitive price.

As a purchaser of coffee in your organisation, it’s important to look beyond price and/or quality. Offer a sustainable and fair private label coffee at the same price. Consumers expect genuinely pure coffee on the shelves.
Working with FarmersDirectCoffee contributes to the living conditions of the farmers. Moreover, the sustainable approach helps to make the coffee world more sustainable and to reduce our footprint. Shall we make an appointment?
